Marketing Communications at VistaPrint Our North American marketing communications team is responsible for driving strategic direction through a focus on Public Relations, Branding, and Creative Services. Our current low brand awareness coupled with high customer satisfaction relative to other small business companies and an astounding value proposition creates a fantastic opportunity to drive change in marketing communications. Position As a key leader within VistaPrint's NA Marketing organization, the Senior Vice President, Marketing Communications will be responsible for building and leading a world-class team of public relations, customer learning and development, and brand and creative services experts. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the NA Business Unit, this person will be responsible for guiding a team of 3 PR professionals, a Brand Manager, and 20 people who comprise the Creative Services team. Key responsibilities include the following areas: - Define and drive marketing communications strategy roadmap (both short and long term) and priorities across sub-groups.
- Systemization across all sub groups for deployment across all VistaPrint offices, globally.
- Public relations
- Lead a team of three public relations professionals with passion for proactive media, speaking and awards outreach.
- Develop short and long term strategic goals that can be implemented with positive results.
- Build on team's success and constantly look for new ways to garner proactive company coverage.
- Embrace social media and constantly explore new ways to communicate positively about the company.
- Manage crisis communications and reputation management programs.
- Report to management on a quarterly basis.
- Brand
- Collaborate with the brand manager to drive the implementation of the company's new brand. Strengthen and maintain company's renewed internal focus on brand and brand perception.
- Build ongoing global brand strategy.
- Identify new channels which leverage the company's positive brand perception.
- Utilize data effectively to build the case for brand-related programs and projects.
- Manage and build external learning and development group including webinars, tradeshows, etc.
- Creative services
- Lead a team of 20 people responsible for site, customer acquisition and segment creative communication strategy and implementation
- Develop new strategies and processes to help this group continue to support the creative needs within and outside of the marketing organization.
- Assist in the recruitment and on boarding of key management and leadership roles including creative director, copy manager, among others.
Person The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in running sizable PR/Branding teams (10+ people), have an outstanding educational background, and a superior track record in Marketing Communications. The Senior Vice President, Marketing Communications will have a well-rounded leadership and management background, including: - Ideal candidate has 15+years of progressive job experience in a global organization.
- Must have proven ability to influence global cross-functional teams across time-zones.
- Some travel will be required.
- Bachelor's degree in related field (communications, marketing, business, etc) preferred An MBA or Master's degree is plus
- Demonstrated track record of managing proactive marketing and communications teams that have directly attributed to customer growth
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to envision the strategy, articulate it, passionately own and drive the team towards achievement.

Additional characteristics and personal attributes will include: - While this is a North American role, the job requires constant proactive global communications across VistaPrint's offices in Barcelona, Jamaica, the Netherlands and Canada so cross functional and global communications skills are a must.
