Job Description: The Manager - Project Management - Products is responsible for managing the development of new Vistaprint capabilities that have a software development component. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams from conceptualization through implementation, including phases such as requirements definition, technical design, build, test, deploy and capture value. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working closely with Vistaprint's Capabilities Product Team and results for multiple new product capabilities projects. Our web software includes dynamic, database-driven web applications, in-the-browser design tools, automatic creation of matched sets of products, multicurrency payment processing and more. In our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, we create optimization algorithms and software to increase throughput, reduce costs, maintain high quality via image processing and color management and automate all workflow from prepress to shipping. Additionally, we implement solutions for our design, sales and service (DSS) call center and graphical design teams, including voice-over-IP (VOIP), customer segmentation and collaborative browsing. All this occurs in a friendly environment filled with top-quality technologists. Responsibilities: - Manage key internal client relationships with project stakeholders
- Drive project requirements, priorities and deadlines, not just record and manage them
- Lead highly skilled, cross-functional teams (software developers, QA, IT
- Operations, business stakeholders) across one or more projects
Develop and manage budget for assigned project(s), monitor project progress and adjust resources and priorities accordingly - Prepare and present progress reports for management
- Interact with decision-makers by managing expectations and providing master project planning to ensure all agreed upon deliverables are met cost-effectively and according to project timeline commitments
- Solve problems, prioritize deliverables and manage project scope
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar preferred
- 2 or more years' experience leading cross-functional projects
- Project management experience at a large consulting firm strongly preferred
- Proven ability to run cross-functional software development projects and to
- deliver business results through full project cycle; preferably in a fast changing environment
- Previous experience as a software developer or application architect strongly preferred
- Must understand 80/20 prioritization
- Must have the ability to quickly analyze and solve problems
- Must be a team player, highly motivated and detail-oriented
- Able to work in an environment at a fast pace and with changing priorities
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
