Summary: This is a key position within the Company’s newly created European Business Unit FP&A team and is responsible for providing financial advisory and consultation to Senior Management for ongoing operational gross margin support. You will be the center point of contact for marketing, manufacturing, and finance and as such will have the opportunity to learn a great deal about the business operations. This role is a great opportunity for a self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects and changing priorities in a high growth international e-commerce environment. The position is located in Barcelona, Spain. Responsibilities: - Build strong relationships across functions and business unit within the company and maintain an open flow of communication to build a deep knowledge of current events in the business with a keen sense of margin impact
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Manufacturing on developing and executing business development projects, continuous improvement initiatives, forecasting, business performance reviews and other business planning activities
- Create and model margin sensitivity analyses and effectively communicate findings
- Proactively seek to improve financial and operational processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization
- Develop deep understanding of the business units gross margin drivers and identify key metrics, new financial / non financial analysis that add insight to the business unit’s performance and effectively communicate information back to the relevant stakeholder(s)
- Coordinate and perform budgeting and forecasting efforts on gross margin
- Position report directly to Manger of FP&A, Europe
Skills & Qualifications: - Experience in product line gross margin financial analysis and management reporting
- Ideal candidate will have manufacturing cost analysis experience
- Demonstrate business partnering, consultative, and decision support skills
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new tools and techniques
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Access
- Strong team player, able to collaborate or lead as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, or other relevant field required
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to multi-task
- A minimum of 2-3 years in a Operational Finance or other highly quantitative analyst role
- Willingness to travel 25% of time
- MBA a plus
- Fluent English is a must
