We are responsible for the global accounting operations, the accuracy of periodic financial results, financial policy, compliance, and control for all of Vista.

Location:

Remote, with approximately 4 days per month at our Venlo facility in the Netherlands

What You Will Do:

As the European Controller you will be responsible for the accounting operations, control environment and statutory compliance for Vista’s European business. This scope includes manufacturing, technology, marketing and customer service locations. As part of the Controllership Leadership Team, you will report directly to the Vista Controller and manage a team of accounting professionals across multiple European jurisdictions. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of our monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, payroll and various country specific accounting matters. In this role, strategic thinking combined with unmatched execution is key.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and oversite of 10+ accounting professionals across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Ownership of monthly/quarterly reporting cycles and payroll across Europe.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of our accounting transactions and compliance with US and local GAAP.
  • Responsible for oversight and execution of indirect tax filings and other local tax compliance matters.
  • Active partnership with business leaders and contributing to decision making through insight into financial outcomes of business transactions.
  • Maintenance and execution of an effective financial control environment across Europe.
  • Local statutory compliance and filing matters, including local financial audits, statement preparation and tax filings.
  • Development of team members and advancement of talent throughout the team.
  • Engagement with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with our global accounting policy and local statutory requirements.

  • Driven accounting professional with 10+ years of experience operating in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Leadership experience in managing a large diverse team, including identification and development of key talent.
  • Proven success in managing a multi-jurisdiction team within Europe, including the effective execution of repeating monthly and quarterly reporting cycles.
  • Experience in advanced accounting and financial topics, specifically manufacturing and technology business related transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of US and local GAAP. Working knowledge of reporting and compliance requirements across Europe is key.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with experience working closely with senior business leaders.
  • CPA or local accounting certification required.
